In other realms, outside of ordinary reality, lie the codes to our own unique Wisdoms and the source of our intuitive gifts. We are all endowed with the capacity to "know" by accessing direct sources of guidance. We have lost this natural way of knowing and communicating. To recover these lost gifts requires shifting to a paradigm that supports and honors the practice of Intuitive Wisdom. It also requires that we examine and release old pictures of reality that no longer serve us.

Learning to listen to Spirit is a way back to the practice of direct "knowing" and the first step in embracing this authentic paradigm. As we open to our higher selves, we access the Intuitive Wisdoms and a link to guidance from other realms.

ANIMALS OF SPIRIT

We have domesticated wild animals; they do not speak our language. Our society and culture have long depended on them for food sources, transportation and clothing. This has fostered the perception of animals as objects, with disregard for them as sentient beings. We have been conditioned not to feel what they feel.

In my work with animals I have learned that often the world is confusing to them. They retain memories of their past just like people do. They may have issues, emotional traumas, and concerns. They wouldn't need therapy such as antidepressants, flower essences, massage, behaviorist, until living in the human's world. We have taken them out of their "natural" environment. What can we do?

We can be empathic (ability to engage in another's emotions) with animals. We can help them grow emotionally and spiritually. We can help them heal by listening to "their story" and responding to their needs. For "stories from the animals" visit my web site.

Hello to all! I hope this finds you well, happy and enjoying your summer. As many of you may know, there is an upcoming solar eclipse on August 11, 1999. There will also be a grand cross in four fixed signs (for you astrology buffs!). The predictions have run the gamut of destruction to spontaneous world enlightenment! A friend of mine recently attended the NORWAC astrological convention in Seattle, WA and the eclipse was a major topic of discussion. She said that at the end of the day after much negative discussion about the effects of this, a wise woman came up to the podium to speak. She reminded everyone there to check in with THEIR THOUGHTS! This made me very happy to hear this. We all have heard many times that "thoughts are creative." What kind of world do we want to live in? What do we want for future generations?

As I read each article of these newsletters, I marvel at the similarity of messages and the presence of some unseen impetus that compels us to proclaim those messages to others.

We all tell of our moving spiritual experiences, produced by nature, whether a gentle animal, a beautiful flower or a glorious sunset. In those experiences, an ancient mystery of life became apparent to us. Those messages seemed to emanate from some source deep within us that we believe everyone possesses and can access.

Because the messages were of love, compassion, healing and spiritual growth, and they brought clarity of vision, optimism and great peace to ourselves, we, in turn, were compelled to share them.

Depression has spiritual roots, but physical manifestations. In my book, Getting Out From Under: How To Triumph Over Recurring Depression, I talk about the myths of depression. One myth is that you can always point to what’s wrong.

Before I knew I was suffering from an inherited chemical imbalance in my brain, I’d search every nook and cranny in my life to find an answer to the “what’s wrong?” question. If I couldn't find a valid answer, I just search for what was least right in my life--and set about eradicating it.

A class not easy sailing? I'd drop it. Fight with a boyfriend? Dump him. Bad hair day? Get it cut. And lo and behold, it worked! A few days later, I always felt better. So it must have been that thing I got rid of, right? Eventually I learned that my depressions would last only a few days, whether I changed anything in my life or not. So what was the point of having my life become a zigzag of half-kept commitments?

Even before I “got out from under” depression, I figured out I'd be better off not making any major decisions when I felt depressed. So I made a personal golden rule: When I thought of a life change that I was sure would solve all my problems, I always, always, waited at least three days before making the change. The advantage of having been a priest is that I definitly learned that when religion is good it is very good, and when bad it is very bad. I currently consider myself to be a Freelance Priest, and am a Minister through S.H.E.S.

We are each a microcosm within the macrocosm. Well folks, 1/1/2000 is right around the corner! So how have you chosen to walk into the new millenium? Have you allowed the Y2K information to scare you into purchasing the latest survival kit and selling your metropolitan real estate so you can get "off the grid" to master self sufficiency? Or has your inner wisdom told you this is just another wake up call for more conscious living?

I'm choosing to get myself off the grid as well, the grid of fear that's been programmed into us since infancy. That includes living life consciously, loving unconditionally, following my own truth and creating my heart's desire. And all this while remembering I'm a multidimensional, unlimited being of light who just happens to be in a physical body right now.

Now is the time to search for your own personal truths "the ones that resonate as truth to your entire being" and incorporate them into your lives. Remember that truth is relative, however, and will eventually change with time (unless they are Universal Truths) as you expand your awareness and are able to more fully grasp the infinite love and wisdom of Creation.

It is very easy to get caught up in the extensive array of phenomena available on your spiritual quest and lose sight of the more important pursuit of self awareness.
